Instructions On How To Print A System Rack Configuration
To print a Rack Configuration from a CISC AS/400:
- Go to an AS/400 Command line.
- Type WRKHDWPRD press <enter>
- Choose Option 1 (Work with Rack Configuration)
- Press Command 17 (Print Rack Configuration)
To print a Rack Configuration from a RISC AS/400 and Advanced Series 36 Model 436:
- Go to AS/400 Command line
- Type STRSST press <enter>
- Choose Option 1 (Start a Service Tool)
- Choose Option 7 (Hardware Service Manager)
- Press Command 6 or F6 (Print Configuration)
To print a Rack Configuration for Advanced Series 36 Model 236:
Display the IPL type and mode by doing the following:
- On the System Control Panel, press the Up or Down select push button until "01" appears in the Function/Data display.
- Press <enter>
- Did a "B M" appear in the Function/Data display?
- If yes, go to Step 10.
- If no, do the following:
- Press the Up or Down select push button until "02" appears in the Function/Data display.
- Press the <enter> push button.
- Press the Up or Down select push button until "B M" appears in the Function/Data Display.
- Press the <enter> push button.
- Press the Up or Down select push button until "01" appears in the Function/Data Display.
- Press the <enter> push button. The "B M" should now appear in the Function/Data Display.
Continue with Step 10
- Press "System Request" on the system console.
- Type DST (in upper case) on the prompt line.
- Press <enter>
The Dedicated Service Tool sign-on screen appears
- Type the DST user ID and password for your system. (The default value for both the User ID and password is 22222222).
- Press <enter>
- When the "Dedicated Service Tools" screen is displayed, choose Option 7 (Start a Service Tool).
- Press <enter>
- Choose Option 4 (Hardware Service Manager).
- Press <enter>
- Press Command 6 or F6 (print Rack Configuration).
